Asrock X58 Extreme3 NEC USB 3.0 Driver

They have a great lineup of AS5x0 units that are divided up into two performance lineups based on their processor. As you can see below, they do Asrock X58 Extreme3 NEC USB 3.0 some great products, but LG really outdid themselves this year with their entire lineup. You can check out our impressions from Samsung Press Conference and enjoy the video below as they take us through a few of their products.

They have quite a selection of cases and cooling products though and it is worth taking a look to see if you can find some of their products around before you start your next build.

They make AiO liquid cooling products and have updated them for with RGB lighting as well as white versions. The white version feature white fan housing, white radiators and a white pump housing. White version come in both mm and mm versions. If you want a great gaming case with fantastic cooling, their Dukase Liquid is a great choice. The system ran fine, but suffered thermal slowdowns under load. Being able to see if the liquid was flowing would have greatly helped troubleshoot quicker. This is a nifty idea as it requires less software to be installed and you can synchronise your case lighting with your pump lighting, RAM lighting and fan lighting.

While that may not be important for everyone, it's a great idea that deserves a look if you're building with ASUS motherboards. This is Asrock's second go-around with the X58 series.

ASRock X58 Extreme3 review - Specifications and Features

The first was a pretty colorful motherboard which had good performance numbers, but lacked visual appeal. This is not the case with the new Extreme 3 version.

The Extreme 3 decor is dressed in white and blue on a black CG background. The change in colors make the motherboard more appealing to the masses.

This is an area where we have seen Asrock progress in over the years. Definitely a far cry from the teal PCB from the early days. Besides the colors of the slots and ports of the motherboard, another feature is active-cooled heat sinks.

The area cooled is the CPU power regulators. Producing more heat than the North Bridge, the mosfets are supplied cool air Asrock X58 Extreme3 NEC USB 3.0 a small 40mm fan over top a suit of aluminum fins. Heat pipes mates the larger heat sink to the sink cooling the North Bridge. The rest of the area surrounding the CPU socket is pretty empty.

The bad news is, because of the height of the active-cooling heat sink, you are limited to the CPU air-coolers you can use. We tried using the new Thermaltake Frio and Cogage Arrow to no avail. Each of the cooler's second fan came in contact with the mosfet cooler.

ASRock X58 Extreme3: An Enthusiast X58 Motherboard at a Budget Price?

A lower profile cooler would have been a better solution. One small aspect of the board I like was the front panel connectors are right beside the DIMM slots near the edge Asrock X58 Extreme3 NEC USB 3.0 the board. I am a fan of this as it eliminate the cluster created nearing a complete build. Our only knock against the arrangement of PCIe slots is if you are in need of just one 1x PCIe slots you would be out of luck as a dual slot GPU would block the only one present on this board.

The first six as located at the lower corner of the board and are colored blue. These are regulated by the Intel Matrix and support Raids 0, 1, 10 and 5.

And supports Raid 0 and 1 and are control via the Marvel SE controller. Asrock labeled their on-board switches Smart Switches. Which simply are power, reset and CMOS buttons. This is the best place for such a button.
